El nombre Plaza Vieja se debe al hecho de ser el antiguo centro pol\u00edtico de Vila do Conde, donde se ubicaba el Ayuntamiento, en oposici\u00f3n a la \u00abPlaza Nueva\u00bb, Pra\u00e7a Vasco da Gama, a donde el <a href=\"https:\/\/viladoconde.com\/ayuntamiento-y-la-picota\/?lang=es\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Ayuntamiento<\/a> fue trasladado al inicio del siglo XVI.
